Making the last of the Summer glow

Summer makeup for me is mainly focused on two things: bronze and glow. The Summer months are the perfect opportunity to experiment with more bronzers and highlighters to maximise your natural tone, so I thought I’d show you some of my favourite products that can help you cheat that summer glow whilst we head into the colder months.

The Hourglass Ambient lighting powders are a product that have been raved about for a few years now, claiming to be a set of “universally flattering finishing powders” able to suit every skin tone. After a lot of research, I decided to get the shade ‘Luminous Light’, a shade that is classed by many as more of a highlighter than a setting powder. I ordered off of John Lewis, and eagerly waited for the arrival of the post. Although I had seen reviews where different people had used this powder all over the face, as soon as I first swatched this I could tell that you would need a very light hand if you wished to do so, as this shade has a pink tint to it, so it would be very easy to over do it and end up with a different coloured base. I use a large fluffy brush to apply it to the tops of my cheeks and around my forehead, to be left with a subtle, all round glow, followed by my highlight of choice. Buy this powder here.

When I first saw the Bare Mineral’s Invisible bronzer online at the start of Summer I knew that I needed it, as it looked to be such an flattering bronzer, adding a healthy, bronze glow to your face. I got mine in the shade ‘medium’, and have been using it ALL Summer. And this picture was taken today. THAT is how much product is left. I have no idea when I’ll ever hit pan on this bronzer, as there is just so much product, making it great value for money also! A must for anyone who aspires to that bronze glow all year around, as it will certainly last you that long! Buy this bronzer here.
